La Verrerie d’Ivoy, chambres d'hôtes de charme

2 hours south of Paris, between Gien and Bourges, the Verrerie d'Ivoy is halfway between Sologne and the country of Sancerre.

It is an excellent base for discovering Berry , located 15 km south of Aubigny sur Nère, a small town with character, the former Scottish duchy of the Stuarts. Bourges, a medieval town with a Gothic cathedral listed as a World Heritage Site, is only 35km away.

La Verrerie d'Ivoy is also close to the Sancerre and Menetou Salon wine route , the potters' village of La Borne as well as the castles of La Verrerie (Oizon) and the Chapelle d'Angillon, two stages of the Jacques Coeur road .

A quality natural environment, on the edge of the Ivoy forest, decorated with ponds will allow you to appreciate nature, to better know the inhabitants and their activities enhancing this heritage, in summer, to share pleasant moments in the garden, around the pool...

The guest rooms are located in 2 outbuildings of the main house:

The Annex, near the forge master's house, has retained its charm of yesteryear : the old materials - beams, terracotta or Borne sandstone paving, old fireplaces adorned with cast iron plates - set the tone in a cozy atmosphere, embellished with period furniture: 3 guest rooms (a 2-bedroom suite and a double bedroom) have been fitted out there. A kitchen and a dining room complete this building.

L'Atelier, a little away from the Annex and the main house has been recently restored with quality materials, this building combines modernity and functionality :it has a living room on the ground floor and a 2 bedroom suite on the top floor.

The capacity is 12 people (standard rate of €89 to €105 for 1 person and €94 to €113 for 2 people plus €35 per additional person, breakfast included). Our establishment has been a partner of Gîtes de France for many years (3 ears of corn Gîtes de France). It has also become a partner of Chèques Vacances.

Guests staying there also have the option of using a kitchen area in the Annex and the Workshop, making it easier to accommodate families.
The table d'hôtes is organized by reservation , meals are served in the dining room for guests in the Annex, on the terrace or in the garden. Catering deliveries can also be organised. If necessary, due to the Covid-19 pandemic :breakfasts are served either at staggered times by group of guests in the guest dining room, weather permitting, on the terrace, or in the form of breakfast baskets for guests of the Atelier. In the category of other services offered, note the recent installation of a domestic charging station de 7,4kW for electric vehicles (C socket) available in the parking option.

Pets are welcome under certain conditions in the parts of the buildings on the ground floor.
